Can I get my medical records from a doctor?
Can I get my medical records from a doctor if the medical exam that I went to was a free exam to test to see if I was compatible with a medical procedure that was available for purchase?
Or since I didn't pay for anything, and they spent their personal/professional time doing the testing, are they not obliged to give me the resultant medical information on me?
They talked to me, not me to them so much. They did the many tests and gave me their professional opinion, spoken and written. Mostly, I want to know what the law actually says in regards to my getting the full documentation.
E.g. am I *legally* a patient if I paid nothing?
Again, what the law ACTUALLY says is what I'm interested in.
